An alleged Pinehurst drug dealer will appear before the crown court next month.

Isiah Tafari, 20, is accused of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cocaine in Swindon since April this year.

On Wednesday, Swindon magistrates heard he had been linked to a number of cars in which drugs had been found.

His appearance before the JPs followed raids earlier this month in South Cerney and at an industrial estate off West End Road, Lower Stratton. At the latter, police were said to have discovered £7,500-worth of cannabis.

Appearing in court via video link from Gablecross police station, Tafari, of Beech Avenue, Pinehurst, entered no pleas to charges of being concerned in the supply of cannabis and cocaine between April and November, possession with intent to supply cannabis on November 9, possession of criminally-acquired cash, concealing cash in a homemade speaker and driving a Ford Mondeo dangerously in Ferndale Road on May 1 this year.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Swindon Crown Court on December 11.

The 20-year-old denied two allegations of assaulting a police constable and PCSO at his home on August 29, when he is said to have sprayed deodorant into their faces. The trial will be heard by the magistrates on a date to be fixed.
