CHRISTMAS parcels will be delivered to 100 elderly and vulnerable Swindon Town fans over the festive season.

Swindon Town Community Foundation has teamed up with the supporters' club to deliver packages as part of its Tackling Loneliness Together project.

The project has already seen the League 2 trophy visit some homes of dedicated fans as well as Zoom calls with some of Town’s star players, including defender Michael Baudry.

Head of the community foundation Jon Holloway said: “Everyone knows what a challenging year this has been and even more so for the elderly and vulnerable, so to be able to deliver 100 special Christmas parcels will hopefully put a big smile on the faces of the recipients.

“It is great to work in partnership with the Official STFC Supporters' Club and we very much look forward to seeing the Swindon supporters when we do the visits.”

The parcels will be delivered on Tuesday, December 22, getting there just in time for Christmas.

The foundation is asking local companies and businesses to offer any donations to the parcels.
