A WOMAN suffered what police describe as potentially life-changing injuries after being hit by a car.
An accident involving a car and a female pedestrian happened near the Windrush junction of St Michael's Avenue in Highworth just after 10.30pm yesterday.
A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: "We were called to Windrush, Highworth shortly after 10.30pm last night to reports of a female pedestrian having been hit by a car.
"The casualty suffered potentially life changing injuries. Our officers helped maintain road closures while paramedics attended."
