A FURTHER two people have tested positive for the coronavirus in a school – after several pupils were sent home last week.
All Saints’ Roman Catholic High School in Rawtenstall has remained open with students expected to attend class as normal unless they have been told to self-isolate.
A post on the school’s Facebook page confirmed that a ‘further two’ members of the school’s community tested positive for the coronavirus in recent days.
It comes after two others tested positive last week, leading to several children being asked to self-isolate.
A year nine pupil also tested positive for COVID-19 last week.
A spokesman for the school said: “We have been informed today that two further members of our community have tested positive for COVID-19.
“We have undertaken contact tracing and have NOT identified any pupils who need to self-isolate.”
