The number of recorded coronavirus cases in Swindon increased by 43 in the last 24 hours, official figures show.

Public Health England figures show that 3,998 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Wednesday in the borough, up from 3,955 the same time on Tuesday.

The seven day rolling infection rate per 100,000 resident population is 139.1 as of November 27, the latest available data.

Across the UK, the number of recorded Covid-19 cases increased by 16,170 over the period, to 1,659,256.

Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
