188 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Swindon - more than double the 70 confirmed in Saturday's government update.
New Public Health England figures reveal that 6,421 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Sunday in Swindon, up from 6,233 at the same time on Saturday.
The borough's seven-day rolling infection rate is 406.4 as of December 29 2020, a figure which has risen steadily over the last few days.
Earlier today, Great Western Hospital recorded four more deaths of patients who had tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the tragic total up to 183.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 54,990 over the period, to 2,654,779.
