A KIND-HEARTED mum is offering to iron frontline workers’ clothes and sheets during the latest lockdown.

Clare Harris, a mum of four-year-old twins and stepson, 10, wanted to help those putting their lives at risk every day as they do their job.

She had a huge response when she posted on social media asking if any frontline workers wanted their ironing done

Clare of Kerry Close said: “If people do want to donate when I iron their clothes then that money raised will be going to Great Western Hospital’s Brighter Futures charity, otherwise it’s free.

“I want to help all frontline workers not only NHS staff, so teachers, carers, and anyone who just needs some help. I know how draining standing there and ironing can be, but I do enjoy doing it so I might as well do it for others. It gives me some piece of mind helping others and doing something while I’m not at work.”

Clare is a supervisor at the Weighbridge Steakhouse and Bar but is unable to work as all pubs and restaurants had to close their doors.

And she's already had her first client.

She told the Adver: “I wrapped up a treat for them as well to say thank you, I gave them some chocolates with their items to cheer them up.”

The mum of three ensures that she is Covid safe by cleaning the iron and ironing board after every use. She wears PPE and keeps her distance.
