LANSDOWNE Hill Care Home has vaccinated all of its patients in Wroughton.

It has given the first shot of vaccines to everyone in the home, managed by Agincare.

Manager Tracy Brain said: “The vaccination roll-out feels like such a positive step forward for us at Lansdowne Hill Care Home, with the prospect of brighter days coming after what has been a hard year.

“All we want to do is simply give our existing and new residents a safe and happy home, including welcoming more visits from family and friends with fewer restrictions in the future.

“I’m incredibly proud of how the team, residents, relatives and local community have pulled together. During the lockdown the team has worked hard to keep residents safe and well, and their spirits up, making sure everyone has a chance to get involved with activities.”

Operators Agincare, one of the country’s largest independent care providers, has welcomed the latest figures at the care home, which is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission.

Chief operating officer Tim Buckley said: “We are very pleased with the positive response by our residents to the vaccination roll-out at Lansdowne Hill Care Home.

“Agincare is working daily with local authorities and NHS teams to ensure any new care home residents are vaccinated as soon as they are able, as well as any remaining care workers across our homes nationwide.”
