RESTAURANT chain Prezzo has confirmed its Swindon branch is set to close permanently.
The Swindon branch in Regent Circus is one of the 22 that will close, with more than 200 jobs to be lost across the country.
It’s not yet known how many employees will be affected by this in Swindon.
All the chain’s restaurants are closed to customers because of the latest coronavirus lockdown, takeaway and delivery has been offered by some.
Cain International, which only acquired Prezzo last December after it was rescued from administration, has bought it back from the administrators in a deal that helps to secure its future.
It is understood the company filed for insolvency after failing to reach an agreement with landlords over rent payments.
