A FOOTPATH is set to be to carved on the route in Inverary Road to Wichelstowe.

Wroughton Parish Council announced that Swindon Borough Council will start the work this summer when fewer people will walk on the route.

It said: "SBC hope to begin works on this bridleway during the summer of 2021, the school holiday period is anticipated to allow for minimal footfall whilst works take place.

"Ward councillors have previously provided an update to residents on Facebook and WPC will continue to share information as and when this is released from SBC. The intended works will comprise of raising the surface of the bridleway, cleaning of culverts and ditches and installing new drainage.

"WPC are working with SBC Community First to complete the unfinished pathway at Blackhorse Farm, the original pathway was progressed by Vision 4 Wroughton member Brian Tildsley in 2020."
