The town centre seemed busier this morning when compared to other times during the third national Covid lockdown.
Lockdown restrictions currently mean that no one should be leaving their home for anything other than essential reasons.
These essential reasons include going to do essential shopping, exercising or going to work.
One man in his 20s, who was out on their weekly shop but did not wish to be named, said: "There's too many people out and about.
"I get going to Tesco or Iceland but there are too many people drinking Costa's with their families and browsing the clothes in M&S.
"People need to stay home, it's the only way this virus will get under control."
Certain businesses in the town centre are allowed to stay open, such as food shops, and cafes can operate a takeaway or delivery service.
