AN ALLEGED drug dealer is accused of having £14,000-worth of cocaine and £24,000 in cash.

Prosecutor Ben Worthington told Swindon Magistrates’ Court that Nazmi Cengu, 33, was arrested in the wake of a raid on his house in Wilton Road, Salisbury, this weekend.

Police were said to have found £14,000-worth of cocaine and £24,000, with Cengu detained by officers as he returned to the house while the property was being searched.

Mr Worthington claimed Cengu had a fake Romanian ID card in his possession, which it is alleged he used to enter the UK illegally.

Appearing before the court this afternoon, Cengu, of Wilton Road, Salisbury, entered no pleas to charges of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of an identity document with intent and entering the UK without leave.

Cengu, who appeared in the dock wearing ripped blue jeans and a black Hugo Boss designer face mask, spoke only to confirm his personal details.

District Judge Joanna Dickens remanded him in custody for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Salisbury Crown Court on April 9.
