A DRUG driver was more than three-times the cannabis limit.
Matthew Reynolds, 28, was caught behind the wheel of a BMW 316 pm Enford Avenue, Penhill, on June 17 last year.
Tests showed he had 7mcgs of tetrahydrocannabinol and 126mcgs of cocaine biproduct benzoylecgonine in his bloodstream. The limits are 2mcgs and 50mcgs respectively.
Appearing before Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning, Reynolds, of Bratton Close, Penhill, pleaded guilty to two counts of driving while over the specified limit for controlled drugs.
Emma Handslip, defending, said her client had not received the court summons. He was arrested on a warrant issued by the court.
The magistrates bailed him to return to court on Wednesday morning. Chairman of the bench Simon Wolfensohn said he would be made subject to an interim driving ban.
