Young people with additional needs can sign up for a new project in Wiltshire.
The Barnardo’s Fabric of Life scheme will work with museums around the county and the Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre to explore their collections.
The project is designed to help young people with additional needs to explore their sexuality and gender.
The project starts on April 20 and will run weekly during term time. It is hoped there will be some special events during the summer break and from September, the young people involved will start preparing an exhibition of art work, interviews and music.
Project worker Beth Fiducia-Brookes said: “We'll be looking at how attitudes to fashion have changed and will look at LGBTQ+ history.
“We'll encourage those joining us to talk to their grandparents about their own family history and experience of fashion. We want them to dig out the old pictures they have and think about the different attitudes to dress."
