ADVER readers would keep social distancing measures in place post-pandemic if given the option.

A small survey of lockdown rules we would like to stay once restrictions are lifted revealed that many preferred the two-metre rule when out and about in public.

Others suggested mask-wearing and hand sanitising should become commonplace while a couple of people hoped table service at pubs would stick around and one preferred working from home to going into the office.

Some wanted all of the lockdown rules gone for good.

Amy Francis said: "Social distancing for sure. Especially when restaurants and bars open fully. Restaurants cram so many tables in, you are almost elbow to elbow at times."

Debbie Standing said: "Definitely social distance and wearing masks in public places, and antibacterial gel where needed."

Adrian Thrush said: "The two meter rule, can't stand feeling people breathing down my neck in a queue."

Becky Cartwright said: "Social distancing. Too people-y otherwise."

Sarah Davis said: "Social distance and, I hate to say, masks - as a person who wears glasses."

Philip Musty said: "Ban roadworks completely."

Sally Wilson said: "Sanitizer before entering."

Zoe Thomas said: "Definitely working from home. I can’t face going into an office again now."

Patrick Connolly said: "The working from home, keep the shops shut (I hate shopping) and the roads were so quiet whilst out cycling without all the lazy parents using their car for the school run."

Chloe Brown disagreed with this: "Those ‘lazy’ parents that use cars to take their kids to school are probably going to work after."

Louis-Jane Dixon added: "Not everyone can walk their kids to school. I would love to but due to disability and long term illness, I can't. You shouldn't judge everyone with being lazy driving their kids to school, you don't know what's going on in their life and they might have a very good reason to drive."
