A young Swindonian has donated his 60cm mane to the Little Princess Trust.
Charlie Wicker, a 22 year old camera assistant, has for years been known for his trademark long hair, saying he would never shave it off.
But this year he decided to go for the chop and give away his locks to the charity that give wigs to children with cancer.
As well as donating his hair, he wanted to raise £550 for the charity, the cost to make one real-hair wig.
In the end, Charlie raised almost £600 - 12 hours after going live, donations to his Justgiving page reached £150, and he was more than halfway to his target in just 48 hours.
Charlie's mum Donna Wicker says, "We all need a bit of good news in these testing times and we are so very proud of this young man."
