The woman behind Covingham's Easter trail has raised almost £2,300 for the hospice that cared for her best friend.
Sweet shop owner Hannah Fruen organised the trail to thank St Ann's Hospice after her best friend Stephanie battled a brain tumour for two years.
The trail included a tombola, a raffle, a trail around the village, and sweet treats from Hannah's own company, Mama’s Sweet Treats and Fudge.
Hannah says, "I lost my best friend in January, and I wanted to do something to thank the hospice.
"Steph had been my best friend since I was 11. We were each other's maid of honour. We were there for each other through so much.
"She suffered for the last two years and she fought every step of the way. She was absolutely phenomenal.
"I did the Covingham Halloween and Christmas trails, and many people messaged to ask if I would do an Easter trail.
"The response was absolutely amazing. I set myself a target of £500 and we absolutely smashed it. I've decided to keep the funding page open because I want to do a half-term trail too."
