LOCKDOWN did not stop food hygiene inspectors from doing their duties.
Here is a round-up of every inspection result published in the last two months which run the gamut from five-out-of-five to major improvement necessary.
Each venue was marked on three categories: hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety.
FIVE – VERY GOOD
Welcome Express, Devizes Road. Inspection date: March 25 2021. Hygienic food handling was very good, other two categories had good standards.
Tandoori Nights, Cricklade Road. Inspection date: March 18 2021. Standards were good across all three categories.
Food Magpie, Wood Street. Inspection date: March 9 2021. Standards were good across all three categories.
Kebria Tandoori, High Street, Highworth. Inspection date: March 1 2021. Cleanliness of facilities and building were very good, hygienic food handling and food safety management were good.
The Biplob Tandoori Restaurant, Wood Street. Inspection date: March 9 2021. Standards were good across all three categories.
FOUR – GOOD
Lee Tim Fish Bar, Nythe Road. Inspection date: March 16 2021. Hygienic food handling was generally satisfactory, other two categories had good standards.
Redhouse Plaice, Millgrove Street. Inspection date: March 17 2021. Cleanliness was very good, other categories generally satisfactory.
Korky’s Takeaway, Fleet Street. Inspection date: March 17 2021. Management of food safety was very good, cleanliness was good, hygienic food handling was generally satisfactory.
North Star Fish, Chips and Chinese Takeaway, Ferndale Road. Inspection date: March 22 2021. Hygienic food handling was good, cleanliness was generally satisfactory, management of food safety was very good.
Sammy’s, Swindon Street. Inspection date: March 30 2021. Management of food safety was generally satisfactory, hygienic food handling and cleanliness were both of a good standard.
Asmins Pizza and Kebab, Rodbourne Road. Inspection date: April 8 2021. Cleanliness was generally satisfactory, standards in other categories were good.
THREE – GENERALLY SATISFACTORY
Tapperz Soulfood, Rodbourne Road. Inspection date: March 4 2021. Standards were generally satisfactory in all three categories.
Grill Box Takeaway, Jon Street. Inspection date: March 9 2021. Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building was good, other categories were generally satisfactory.
Jack Spice, Fleet Street. Inspection date: March 18 2021. Standards were generally satisfactory in all three categories.
Chicken Cottage, Victoria Road. Inspection date: March 9 2021. Hygienic food handling was generally satisfactory, standards in other categories were good.
ONE – MAJOR IMPROVEMENT NECESSARY
Fantasia, Commercial Road. Inspection date: March 1 2021. Major improvement necessary for management of food safety. Hygienic food handling and cleanliness of facilities/building were good.
RSN Store, Kent Road. Inspection date: March 9 2021. Hygienic food handling was generally satisfactory, good cleanliness but major improvement necessary on management of food safety.
