WANBOROUGH: Highway improvement works will close four footpaths in Wanborough from May 21 to August 22 2021.

Swindon Borough Council is carrying out a temporary road traffic order (reference STR0DD144) to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following footpaths:

-The public right of way (PROW) footpath WA8 will be closed between PROW footpath WA7 and The Marsh with no alternative route available.

-The PROW footpath WA22 will be closed between PROW footpath WA8 and the A419 - though again, no alternative route is available.

- The PROW footpath WA24 will be closed between PROW footpath WA43 and The Marsh. No alternative route available.

-The PROW footpath WA25 will be closed between PROW footpath WA23 and Wanborough Road. A diversion is available for this closure.

Pedestrians will be diverted for the latter closure via PROW footpath WA23, Wanborough Road and PROW WA35.

BOURTON: SSE need to install a new connection, so part of Avenue Road will close while this work is carried out.

Vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding on Avenue Road at the junction of B4000 Station Road.

Traffic will be diverted via B4000 Station Road, Townsend Road and Cleyfields.

The order (reference STR000163) will come into force on May 17 2021 for six months but it is expected that the works will take place between May 17 and June 1 2021.

OAKHURST: Part of Oakhurst Way will be closed to vehicles while carriageway resurfacing is carried out.

The order (reference STR000182) will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Oakhurst Way between Garsington Drive and Thamesdown Drive.

Traffic will be diverted via Garsingston Drive, Queen Elizabeth Drive and Thamesdown Drive. It is expected that the works will take place on May 12 and 13.

BLUNSDON: Sams Lane will be closed for carriageway resurfacing for four days.

The order (reference STR00D186) will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Sams Lane between Sutton Park and Churchill Avenue and further along the lane between Churchill Avenue and High Street.

Traffic will be diverted via High Street, Ermin Street, B4019, Sams Lane and vice versa. The order is effective on May 10 for six months but it is expected the works will take place between May 10 and 14.

WANBOROUGH: A planning application (reference S/21/0531SASM) proposes making extensions and alterations to the Hooper's Field Sports Pavilion on Rotten Row.

OLD TOWN: A planning application (reference S/21/0493EMMI) suggests building an extension to the rear of an existing garage behind 74 Avenue Road.

STRATTON: A planning application (reference S/H0U/21/0414LZWI28) wants to construct a dropped kerb on Hyde Road.

CHISELDON: A planning application (reference S/H0U/21/D471CHH0) proposes building a replacement two-metre-high wooden boundary fence on 1 Slipper Lane.

STRATTON: A planning application (reference S/21/0495CHH0) suggests variations to condition 11 of previous approval given to to build a new Aldi and associated access routes and car parking on Hobley Drive (reference S/l5/2074).

The variations would not have to comply with condition 2 (hours of deliveries) from permission given to another application (reference S/18/1666).
