Abbey Meads saw a spike in Covid-19 rates at the start of May, according to the latest government mapping.
The area recorded the equivalent of 135.3 new coronavirus cases per 100,000 people in the week to May 3. There were 13 new cases.

Moredon saw a rate of 70.2 new cases per 100,000, while Central North (Railway Village and Broadgreen) and Broad Blunsdon, South Marston and Wanborough came in third and fourth with rates of 56.8 and 54.1 respectively.
Case rates across Swindon generally remain very low - and small numbers of cases in particular areas can skew the averages. Case rates in many areas are not recorded on the government's data sheets as there are no new cases.

As you can see from the graph, Swindon saw a significant spike in the coronavirus case rate in January - in common with much of the rest of the country.
