WILTSHIRE Police said it had received a report relating to Jonathon Seed’s withdrawal from the police and crime commissioner race.
In a statement, the force said it was assessing how it should proceed with that report. No detail was given about the nature of the information given to the police.
Mr Seed announced he was pulling out of the election on Sunday evening, confirming he had a previous driving conviction that would disqualify him from taking up the PCC role if elected.
The votes are being counted at Salisbury’s Five Rivers Centre, with the result expected to be announced later tonight.
