SWINDON Borough Council's director of public health has urged people to "stay vigilant" as lockdown measures ease.
The latest step in plans to relax coronavirus safety guidelines begins today, though Steve Maddern advised us to remain cautious when out and about.
He said: "As we see restrictions ease today - remember this isn’t a time to be complacent- be vigilant and protect yourself and each other - Swindon, it’s up to all of us. Hands, Face, Space, Fresh Air.
"I encourage anybody aged 38+ in Swindon who hasn’t had their vaccine yet to book ASAP!
"Rates remain low locally, but with easing of restrictions and possible variants that could pose a new threat - we don’t want all the hard work residents have done to be wasted."
