NO new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Swindon within 24 hours.
The latest government figures show that there were 36 new positive Covid-19 test results recorded in the borough within the last seven days, which is two fewer than the week before.
As of May 13, Swindon's infection rate is 17.6 cases per 100,000 population.
The government said a further seven people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the UK total to 127,691.
Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have been 152,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
The government added that, as of 9am on Tuesday, there had been a further 2,412 lab-confirmed cases in the UK.
It brings the total to 4,450,392 after an adjustment in the way case numbers are calculated.
