A ROAD is closed for five days while Gigaclear Limited completes its excavation works.
Wiltshire Council announced that Witts Lane in Purton is closed from yesterday until Friday.
A spokesperson for the council said: "Wiltshire Council hereby give notice that on June 7, 2021, the following length of road shall be closed to all traffic in the interests of public safety to enable Gigaclear Limited to carry out excavation works to lay cables. Witts Lane, Purton; from its junction with Station Road for its entire length.
"No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses although delays are likely due to the nature of the works..
"The closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs."
