A SWINDON vicar is still struggling with side-effects of catching coronavirus more than a year after she first tested positive for the disease.
Barbara Shepherd told BBC Wiltshire that at times, she thought she might not survive the deadly virus.
She added: "It completely took the wind out of me, it left me tired and quite breathless."
Barbara thanked her friend and neighbour Sunny Patel for helping her during this difficult time in her life.
Sunny delivered cooked food while she was unwell. He said: "She had no energy to cook a meal for herself. It's important to have a meal, that helps her recover.
"She's amazing and always willing to help others, she's helped everyone in the community."
