WROUGHTON: Part of Brimble Hill between the junctions of Hodson Road and Marlborough Road will be closed for almost two months.

A traffic order (reference STR000202) is being introduced to assist with traffic management for utility works.

Traffic to be diverted via B4005 Marlborough Road, Moormead Road, A4361 Swindon Road, Croft Road, B4006 Pipers Way, B4006 Marlborough Road to Coate Roundabout, A4259 Marlborough Road to Commonhead Roundabout, A419 to Badbury Roundabout, A436 Marlborough Road, B4005 New Road and B4005 Hodson Road.

The order is effective from July 19 and the work should be finished by to September 8.

Another traffic order (reference STR000192) is being introduced to allow BT to carry out work on The Pitchens Corner.

It will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on the corner from the junction with Marlborough Road.

Traffic to be diverted via Marlborough Road, Devizes Road and Priors Hill and vice versa.

The order is effective from July 28 and it is expected works will take place on the for three days between the hours of 9:30am and 3.30pm.

TOWN CENTRE: Highway signage work will close part of Westcott Place for two days. A one-way restriction will lead up to the roundabout junction with Kingshill Road.

Traffic to be diverted via Park Lane, Rodbourne Road, Kemble Drive, Great Western Way.

The order (reference STR000201) is effective on July 1 and the work will take place over two days.

HINTON PARVA: A traffic order (reference STRDDD191) This Order is being introduced to allow BT to carry out work.

It will prohibit vehicles from proceeding on Body Horse Hill between the junctions with Church Row and White Hill.

Traffic to be diverted via Hatchet Hill to Foxham, Callas Hill to High Street, then turn into the un-named road from Wanborough to Hinton Parva and Body House Hill. The order is effective on July 14 and it is expected works will take place only between 8:30am and 5pm.

WALCOT: Frobisher Drive will be closed between the junction with Raleigh Drive to house number 253 for one month.

A traffic order (reference STR000195) is being introduced to allow excavation for the installation of duct for fibre network.

Traffic to be diverted via Raleigh Avenue, Frobisher Drive and vice versa. The order will come into force on July 22 and it is expected works will take place until August 24.

CHENEY MANOR: The South African Spaza Shop Ltd is applying to Swindon Borough Council for the grant of a new premises licence to set up shop in Unit 80 Pembroke Centre on Cheney Manor Industrial Estate.

The business owner wants to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises from 9am to 5pm on weekdays, and 10am to 3pm on weekends.

Separately, Just Liquorice Limited on 143 Cheney Manor Road has applied for a licence to sell alcohol online24/7.
