While speed cameras in Swindon may be a thing of the past, that doesn't stop locals wishing they were back.

We asked Adver readers to tell us where they would like to see speed cameras installed in Swindon and we mapped their answers below.

The thought of introducing fixed or mobile speed cameras doesn't seem to win over everyone, however. Some locals simply don't believe this would make a considerable change.

Ben Carr said: "No where. We had them before, everyone knew where they were slowed down for them and then just sped up again after.

"If we’re to have them again do average speed cameras, stop the racing and stopping. I for one don’t want them."

Meanwhile, Alan Wilson thinks they should be all around. He said: "Everywhere. Spending is rife across this whole Town and surrounding areas.

"Introduce cameras and local and national Government would make a killing from the fines. And rightly so. Put them on junctions and roundabouts that have traffic lights as well. The number of red light jumpers is shocking.
