This is the sight that greeted innocent shoppers outside a Cricklade Londis in August 2019.
Shane Allen, who has this week been jailed for six months, was dropped off by his girlfriend outside the shop on White Horse Road.
He’d armed himself with a baseball bat having earlier made threats against a family with whom Allen’s own family were involved in an ongoing dispute.
The 31-year-old came off worse in the ensuing brawl on Fullers Avenue. The weapon was taken from him and he was struck over the head with another baseball bat.
Jailing him at Swindon Crown Court, Recorder Simon Foster said: “You should not have gone there. Your turning up was just absurd in the circumstances.”
The images of Allen outside Londis have been released by the CPS.
