CHISELDON: Notice is hereby given under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that Swindon Borough Council has made a traffic order to introduce a 40mph speed limit on Draycot Close in Draycot Foliat.

If you wish to question the validity of the order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirements of that act or of any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the order, you may, within six weeks from June 23 2021 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

HIGHWORTH: A planning application (reference S/H0U/21/D833LZWI) suggests demolishing two outbuildings and constructing a garden room, store and home office at Mint Cottage, 6-7 The Green.

Another planning application (reference S/TC/21/1005) seeks prior approval notification for the installation of an 18m ‘slim-line’ phase 8 monopole on Lechlade Road with a wraparound cabinet at the base along with three ancillary equipment cabinets and associated ancillary works.

The monopole would be used as a 5G mast.

OLD TOWN: A planning application (reference S/H0U/21/Q808EMMI) proposes replacing and extending the hard standing to the front of 17 The Mall.

Notice is hereby given that the above three applications have been submitted to Swindon Borough Council.

BADBURY PARK: A traffic order is being introduced to allow construction of the third phase at Badbury Park.

It will prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along footpaths 1,2 and 6 in Central Swindon, south of Day House Lane, north of M4 and west of the A419 between M4 Junction 15 and Commonhead Roundabout.

Due to health and safety reasons, no suitable alternative route can be provided. The order will come into force on July 5.

SWINDON: Swindon Borough Council proposes to make an order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, The Traffic Management Act 2004 and The Transport Act 2000 and all other enabling powers and in consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police.

The order will make administrative changes - without any physical changes - to amend the details of the bus lanes, bus gates and bus-only roads on Princes Street, Tewkesbury Way, Pipers Way, County Road, east/west section of Church Place, and Asda Walmart Service Road.
