RAINSTORMS led to a stunning full arc rainbow over the town and camera club member Andrew Timmins was in the right place at the right time to capture it in the lens.

Rainbows are formed when sunlight enters a rain droplet and refracts - or changes direction - reflects on the back and refracts again on leaving. The dispersed light appears as different colours that range from red through to violet.
