ORCHID Vale Primary School is organising an inspirational workshop for pupils hosted by former Commonwealth Games high jumper Robert Mitchell.
Funds donated will go directly to the school, which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is expected key front-line service and equipment will be the target of investment to the school located on Torun Way.
Mitchell competed at the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and the workshop on October 15 'aims to support the mental and physical health of the pupils by hosting an inspirational workshop'.
Community company Sports For Champions UK is working with the school to organise the event, which includes a fitness circuit.
Alongside the fitness circuit, there will be a medal display and a Q&A with Mitchell.
Each event brings a different event with an athlete retelling stories aiming to encourage and inspire students. The fundraiser runs until the day of the event and has a target of £1,000.
