A PARK South property now has a police order banning anyone other than the people who live there from entering.

The partial closure order made at Swindon Magistrates Court on Tuesday for the house on Studland Close will last for three months.

Anyone other than the people living at the property, care workers, and emergency service workers, will be committing an offence if they enter the home.

PC Grant Hesketh from the Swindon Community Policing Team said: “The court recognised the serious impact that the behaviour of groups visiting the house has been having on both the occupants and the local community.

“The application of the closure order has allowed us to promptly respond to community concerns and provide additional policing powers to tackle the problems.

“This order is not the first at this address and moving forward, we are committed to working with the landlord, Swindon Borough Council, to develop a long-term working strategy and solution to the problem.

“Officers will continue to conduct regular welfare checks at the address to ensure the order is being adhered to, and the welfare of the people living there is not being put at risk.”
