STRATTON firefighters freed a child locked in a car and put out a burning tree.
One crew from the fire station attended a property on Stones Lane in Cricklade at 11.08am on Friday after being called about the youngster being locked in a vehicle. They used small gear to get the child out safely.
Then at 1.04pm, a crew from the same fire station responded to calls about a tree on fire in Abbey Meads. They put out the flaming foliage using one hose reel and two protable water bladders.
