PENHILL: Charlie Braithwaite of Penhill Drive received two £60 fines and lost his driving licence for 12 months after pleading guilty to drug driving.

The 23-year-old had more than 32 micrograms of cocaine and more than 200 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine per litre of blood while driving an Audi A3 on Queens Drive on April 28 2020.

He must pay £85 in court costs and £34 to victim services.

SWINDON: Jonothon Barrett of Bayswater in Oxford received an eight-week jail sentence after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.

The 28-year-old drove on Torrington Court in a Honda Jazz on April 19. He was again disqualified from driving for 18 months and must pay £128 to victim services.

The reason this offence led to jail was because Barrett was already subject to a community sentence, he has "a flagrant disregard" for court orders, and he has a record of previous offending.

SWINDON: Robert Silk of Horsefair Lane in Bradenstoke received two fines which totalled £576 for criminal damage and assault.

The 32-year-old originally pleaded not guilty to damaging a woman's uniform and assaulting her on July 16 2020. but was found guilty on both counts.

He must pay £70 in compensation to his victim and pay £58 to victim services.

GROUNDWELL: Jake Marsh of Groundwell Road received two fines which totalled £80 after pleading guilty to harassment.

The 21-year-old knowingly behaved in a way which caused harassment to a woman in Swindon between March 1 2020 and May 12 2021 as well as between September 1 2020 and May 9 2021.

He must pay £85 in court costs plus £34 to victim services.

TOWN CENTRE: Chantelle Hayward of Harding Street received a £40 fine after pleading guilty to theft.

The 29-year-old took goods worth £92 from Savers Health and Beauty in The Parade on June 11. She must pay £85 in costs, £34 to victim services and £38 in compensation.

TOWN CENTRE: Liam Knapman of Whitney Street after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, and failing to stop after an accident.

The 24-year-old's BMW was involved in an accident on Oakhurst Way on August 4 which damaged part of the Roadside Furniture building.

He lost his driving licence for another 12 months and received a community order with rehab activity requirements and thinking skills activities.

Knapman must pay a £120 fine plus £85 in court costs plus £95 to victim services.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Gary Hines of The Maltings received a £100 fine after admitting to a breach of a community order.

The 38-year-old failed to report to a telephone appointment on March 24 and behaved in an unacceptable way on July 23 by failing to disclose any new relationships.

He must also pay £60 in court costs.

SWINDON: Gareth Van-Zyl of RAF Chilmark in Salisbury lost his driving licence for 12 months after pleading guilty to driving while disqualified and without a licence.

The 32-year-old drove a Nissan Qashqai along Whitehill Way in Swindon on September 27 2020.

He received a community order with a four-month electronically-monitored curfew which requires him to be indoors at his home address between 7pm and 7am daily.

He must pay £85 in court costs plus £95 to victim services.

ROYAL WOOTTON BASSETT: Simon Boroughs of Princess Gardens received a £311 fine after pleading guilty to assault.

The 55-year-old changed his not guilty plea. He beat a woman in Swindon on July 31 2020 and must pay £620 in court costs plus £34 to victim services.
