PEOPLE hoping to start their own businesses received some helpful advice and support from Outset Swindon and Wiltshire.

The service provides fully-funded pre-start up and start-up help to businesses in the area.

Since it began, Outset has supported the creation of more than 6,000 new businesses and over 4,000 new jobs around the county.

Now, the service is looking to support those who have left Honda and its supply chain earlier this year.

Earlier this month, the group hosted a pop in event at the Rat Trap which was designed to answer any questions budding entrepreneurs might have about beginning their own venture and inspire those who are interested in exploring the world of self-employment.

The two-hour session at the Highworth Road pub allowed people hoping to become their own bosses to explain their ideas and get access to the service Outset Swindon and Wiltshire supply.

The meet-up was the first of a series of events being held at the Rat Trap and around Swindon and Wiltshire.

Earlier in the year, Outset hosted a virtual self-employment fair in the weeks leading up to the plant's closure which helped more workers who were looking to start their own businesses.
