POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 19-year-old man who went missing in Swindon since last week.
James Phillips was reported missing last Friday and despite detailed and extensive searches, he has not been found.
He is believed to have left his home address in the Blunsdon area between midnight on Thursday, October 14 and 9am on Friday.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "Over the weekend and during the beginning of this week police officers, assisted by Wiltshire Search and Rescue, carried out searches across Swindon but we have had no confirmed sightings."
James is described by the police as being mixed heritage, about 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with short black hair. He also wears glasses.
He is thought to be wearing a black suit, white shirt and black leather shoes.
The spokesperson added: "If James is reading this appeal then we would urge him to get in touch, either with the police or with a friend or family member, to let us know he is safe."
Anyone who knows where he might be should call 999.
