A WILDLIFE rescue centre near Swindon saved a sleepy swan.
A concerned animal lover brought the exhausted, confused and underweight animal to the vets for a check-up after finding it by the side of a busy road.
The swan then went to RSPCA Oak and Furrows until it could be safely returned to the outside world.
A spokesman said: "When she arrived, she was so tired she fell asleep on the weighing scales in our triage room.
"Our amazing team have worked out a feeding and fluid therapy plan to help her gain strength and after a rest in a snuggly duvet she was happy to have a little water and feed."
