A VAN driver who drove carelessly and did not stop at the scene of a crash his vehicle was involved in has been fined £466.

Mikolaj Dorczuk, of Buxton Way in Royal Wootton Bassett, was involved in a collision which caused damage to a Ford Focus and Citroen C4 while he was driving a Ford Transit on Harris Close on April 1.

The 42-year-old did not give his name and address and insurance details to other people at the scene and did not report the traffic accident to police afterwards.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and two other charges against him - driving without due care and attention and failing to stop, both of which happened on the same date as the accident.

He was sentenced at Stratford Magistrates Court on November 16.

As a result, he must pay £110 in court costs plus £47 to victim services, and have five points added to his driving licence.
