A 41-year-old man who beat a police constable has been ordered to pay £100 compensation.
Graeme Thompson, of Bates Way in Moredon, was found guilty of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
He committed the offence in Swindon on July 30.
Along with the compensation charge, Mr Thompson must carry out 60 hours of unpaid work within the next twelve months.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at Swindon Magistrates' Court at the appointed time.
