A DRIVER from Cricklade who failed to provide a specimen for analysis when asked to by police has been banned from the roads for 36 months.
Andrew Allen, of Lady Mead, pleaded not guilty to the charge but was later found guilty.
The 60-year-old was required to give blood for a laboratory test at Marston Meysey in Swindon on August 22 2020 but failed without reasonable excuse to do so.
As well as temporarily losing his driving licence, he must pay £620 in court costs plus £95 to victim services.
A community order requires him to abstain from consuming alcohol for 60 days and comply with rehab activity requirements for up to 15 days.
He was sentenced at Swindon Magistrates Court.
