A LONDON man who sent offensive and indecent messages to someone in Swindon must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work.
Mervyn Willis, of Kingston Road in Wimbledon, pleaded not guilty to the charge on May 27 but was later found guilty on October 25.
The 28-year-old sent messages that were "grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character" to his victim in Swindon on November 23 2020.
He must pay £620 in court costs plus £95 to victim services, and take part in an accredited programme for 30 days.
The case related to domestic violence.
