Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with an assault that left a woman in hospital with serious injuries.
He is suspected of cusing grievous bodily harm to the victim at Cheekies nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning after an altercation in the smoking area.
He is in police custody where he is being questioned about what happened at the Fleet Street venue.
"We are continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have been at the club at the time of the incident which took place at approximately 1.30am in the smoking area of the venue," Wiltshire Poice said in a statement.
"If you can help please call us on 101.
"We would also ask anyone taking pictures at the club last night to please send them to DC Chris Hughes at christopher.hughes@wiltshire.police.uk"
