The Arkell’s Christmas Market returns this Saturday.

The free-to-enter festive event took a year off because of the pandemic in 2020 but the brewery's grounds will soon be full of food and craft stalls and activities once again.

It will last from 10am to 3pm with 40 stallholders selling their wares, The Songbirds Choir singing carols and classics, The Oompah Band performing, and hot food and drink on offer including bratwurst sausages and pizza.

Santa Claus will be greeting families from 10.30am to 12pm and from 1pm to 2.30pm, with his reindeer nosing around from 10am to 2pm.

Visits to Santa cost £5 per child and includes a present for each little guest.

Managing director George Arkell, said: “Arkell’s Brewery is a magical place at Christmas and we are ready to throw open our gates once again and share it with everyone. We love the buzz in the brewery when we hold these markets; it will be wonderful to see all the visitors and stallholders again."

Head brewer Alex Arkell added: “A huge amount of work and planning goes into the Christmas Market, but to see the smiles on the faces of the people flowing through the gates justifies all the effort. We love giving the community something to enjoy in the run up to Christmas.”

The Arkell’s mobile bar will serve up seasonal favourite Sir Noel Ale and fragrant mulled wine.

Parking on-site is available, walking is encouraged. The Stagecoach 10 bus runs from the town centre to Kingsdown.
