Renowned poet Pam Ayres has visited RSPCA Oak and Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre to see the work that the animal charity is doing to care for sick and injured creatures.
Gloucestershire-based Pam, who recently did a charity show at The Wyvern to raise money for the GWH Hospital’s charity Brighter Futures, is a patron of the centre and has held a lifelong passion for wildlife.
She spent time visiting the patient care areas and talking to team who gave an update on developments at the centre and the work carried out since it taken over by the RSPCA.
The centre is seeing an increase in approaches from the public and has looked after nearly 4000 patients this year, many of them needing specialist knowledge, care and food.
