A 49-YEAR-OLD from Upper Stratton has been fined £660 and given six points on his driving licence for a traffic offence.

Lee Clarke, of Clays Close, failed to give information about the driver of a Ford Focus, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, when police asked him to provide that information.

This happened at the Central Ticket Office of Treforest in Rhondda Cynon Taff on July 20.

The offence was proven through single justice procedure.

Along with the fine and penalty points, Clarke must pay £90 in court costs plus £66 to victim services.

He was sentenced at Cardiff Magistrates Court earlier this month.

Another charge which alleged that he had been speeding above the 30mph limit in a Ford Focus on Cowbridge Road on June 16, was withdrawn.
