A 22-year-old, who destroyed someone's kitchen ceiling and cabinet door and who was found to own two batons, has been ordered to pay £560.
Martin Junior Coombs, of Munroe Close, pleaded guilty to possessing two offensive weapons in a private place and causing criminal damage to property valued under £5000 by Swindon Magistrates' Court.
A baton and a police style extendible baton were discovered in his house on August 21 which is the same day he damaged the victim's property.
He was fined £350 for possessing the first baton and has to pay £35 to victim services. He must pay another £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service. There was no separate penalty for the other baton.
He has to pay £90 compensation for destroying the cabinet door and kitchen ceiling.
Both weapons will be forfeited and destroyed.
