THE pandemic and audience fears about contracting Covid have prompted the Phoenix Players to postpone their January production Ding Dong until April.

In a statement the group said people were "still feeling a little apprehensive about going to the theatre."

As a result the show, which runs for four nights and was due to be staged in the last week of the month, has been put back until April 27 at the Arts Centre on Devizes Road.

The group said it was looking forward to welcoming audiences then.

"It's a farce and great fun. It will make you laugh and we all need a bit of that at the moment."
