GWH sees slight drop in Covid inpatient numbers
Great Western Hospital recorded 65 inpatients with coronavirus yesterday which is a 4% decrease on the week before.
An internal critical incident was declared at GWH on January 4 when there were 67 Covid patients - but the incident was stood down three days later when the situation improved despite the "significant pressures" still felt across the organisation.
The hospital also saw 249 patients in the Emergency Department and Urgent Treatment Centre on Thursday.
