A SWINDON society is seeking to recruit new members who love to sing.

The Swindon Choral Society celebrated its 90th anniversary back in 2019 and is still going strong.

The mixed choir claims to be the only one in the borough which can perform the big choral works which are accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists.

Like many other community groups, the pandemic hit them hard and they are now looking to add more members to their singing sessions.

A spokesman said: "Do you like singing and would like to try something new?

"After two years of Covid restrictions, Swindon Choral Society is up and running again and welcomes new singers.

"We are a friendly society with a membership of more than one hundred, encompassing a wide range of musical experience.

"Rehearsals start on Thursday, May 5 for our next concert which will take place in St Marks Church on July 2.

"If you are interested in joining us go to our website for details - www.swindonchoral.org.uk"

Members rehearse during term-time in Freshbrook Church on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
