You might want to grab both a pair of gloves and a bottle of sun cream this weekend, as the Met Office has warned that Wiltshire is in for a mixed picture over the next few days.

Tonight, in some parts of Wiltshire it is set to get cold enough for a touch of frost in the countryside by morning.

The minimum temperature is set to be -1 °C.

But into Saturday morning it will be fine and dry with largely sunny skies.

It will be a little cloudier in the afternoon, but still, feel warm in the sunshine with a maximum temperature of 17 °C.

The current outlook for Sunday to Tuesday in Wiltshire is that it will be rather cloudy on Sunday with perhaps a little drizzle.

Bank Holiday Monday is looking brighter with light showers, bright or sunny spells and a few sharp showers on Tuesday.

Weather experts have said there will be a mix of springtime weather for the bank holiday weekend in the rest of the UK, as a low-pressure system moves in from the northwest on Saturday.

Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist David Oliver said: “It is a different mix of weather this bank holiday weekend after what has been a largely settled week for the UK.
